School site index for FSUSD The essential question in Ed Tech is:
How can technology be used as a tool to improve student learning, and not as an end in itself?

The Fairfield-Suisun Educational Technology Committee was originally formed in 1995. Certificated site facilitators are called Technology Learning Coordinators (TLCs).

History of District Ed Tech Plan:

In September of 1996, the Educational Technology Committee produced its first Technology Plan for the school district. During the 2000-01 year the District contracted with Educational Technology Planners to conduct a Technology Audit. The final Report was presented to the Governing Board on May 17, 2001. We then produced an Interim Tech Plan that carried us through the 2002-03 school year.

  • Our first five-year plan was approved by the State in Spring 2003 and covered through June 30, 2007.
  • We decided to move to a three year format since technology was evolving rapidly. We wrote a three-year plan that covered the period July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2010.
  • The current three-year plan covers the period July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2013.
